105.9 Academy FM - now Radio Folkestone!

105.9 Academy FM Folkestone, the town's Community Radio station is now Radio Folkestone! Academy FM was based in the Folkestone Academy until summer 2023, and worked with pupils within Turner Schools as well as being the local FM radio station.

Due to the increasing amount of work that Academy FM was doing with Turner Schools, we decided to launch Turner Schools Radio in addition to the FM station.

Academy FM Folkestone was re-branded as Radio Folkestone and broadcasts from the Glassworks in central Folkestone. There will continue to be opportunities for young people to broadcast on Radio Folkestone, as well as from their home on Turner Schools Radio.
